BIOGRAPHY Her first album, “Unchanging”, declares God’s faithfulness. With six original compositions, it showcases Charlene’s range as a song-writer and vocalist. “Your Mercy Endures” is an intimate piece inviting listeners to reflect on the forgiving nature of God while “Alpha and Omega” is a jazz influenced melody reminding listeners that what God has promised is true. In her musical journey, Charlene has ministered in Trinidad, Europe and across Canada. She has toured with The Toronto Mass Choir, Jubilance Singers and Orchestra and Sounds of Joy from Tyndale Seminary. Charlene has also served as Youth Choir Director for Scarborough Gospel Temple and Queensway Cathedral. For the Toronto Mass Choir’s vibrant third album, “Follow Him” she shows off her song-writing skills with the soulful offerings “Jesus Alone” and “Out Of The Depths.” This album comes out of Charlene’s enduring commitment to worship. She believes that music can move the hand of God, resulting in a positive change. (2 Kings 3). She is currently Worship Pastor at Christian Centre Church, near the Jane and Finch community. Previously, she has served as a worship leader, prison chaplain, school teacher and children’s pastor Charlene graduated from Tyndale Seminary in 1997 with an MDiv in counseling, and is a credentialed minister with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. Charlene is a mother of two children and is married to Rev. Duane Henry, the associate pastor at Christian Centre Church. They are both committed to serving and equipping believers in the body of Christ, and to bringing others to a saving knowledge of Jesus. |
